Eine angeblich große und wichtige Entscheidung, jedoch ein sehr kleiner Teil des Jumpings.
Allgemein: Je größer, desto besser.
Aber: Das hängt von deinem Grip ab.
Wenn du den Stift so hältst, als ob du schreiben würdest, wird es wahrscheinlich sehr schwer sein mit full area in alle Ecken zu kommen, trotzdem gibt es
eine generelle Richtline zu verfolgen, wenn man erfolgreich jumpen will, egal welchen Grip man verwendet.
=> Generelle Richtlinie: Es sollte mindestens die Hälfte (idealfall: mindestens 2/3, ist aber grip abhängig) des Tablets an Area ausnutzen.
Was mich wieder zu meinem nächsten Punkt bringt.
Versuche niemals die Tablet area zu ändern, denn es wird dich sehr viel Zeitkosten dich an die neue Area zu gewöhnen. Mache es nur, wenn es unbedingt sein muss. (z.B. Du willst von deinem 2x2 millimeter ding wegkommen)
Ich würde es immer empfehlen die Größe deines osu!-Fensters zu ändern. Dadurch musst du dein muscle memory nicht wieder von vorne aufbauen, sondern kannst dich sehr schnell mit der neuen Auflösung vertraut machen.
Fullscreen oder Windowed?
Die wichtigste Entscheidung ist, ob du unbedingt immer Fullscreen spielen willst oder dir auch osu! windowed passt?
Wenn du Fullscreen gehst, hau die Tablet area niemals auf full area, deine Hand wird's dir danken.
Wenn du windowed gehst, dann immer schön auf full area, denn mit der osu! resolution wirst du die "Sensitivität" deines Tablets ändern. (Größere Auflösung heißt mehr Bewegung notwendig um auf das andere Ende des Fensters zu kommen.)
Mit Fullscreen kann HR oder kleine Noten "leichter" werden, da man sich besser konzentrieren kann (psychologischer effekt, kommt auch auf die Monitorgröße an). Jedoch wenn der Monitor zu groß ist, kanns problematisch bei fullscreen jumps werden.

Egal wie behindert der Grip ist, es gibt immer eine Person die damit spielt. Doch ich würde empfehlen, den Stift parallel zum Zeigefinger zu halten. (Referenz: puu.sh/5ZGXX ) Was ihr mit den Rest eurer Finger macht, ist euch überlassen. Ich hab meinen Grip über meine gesamte osu! Zeit ~30 mal geändert, bis ich meinen jetzigen gefunden habe. Der aber auch immer wieder leicht geändert wird.
Egal wie zufrieden man mit den jetzigen grip ist, versucht ihn ein bisschen zu verändern und schaut ob was raus kommt. (Hand bisschen mehr abwinkeln, stift weiter oben oder unten halten etc.)
Erfahrung ist eins der wichtigsten Sachen die man unbedingt haben muss, damit man seine EIGENE beste Spieltechnik entdeckt.
